Hello! I’m Anna, average college student. Welcome to The Pen and the Page! Thank you so much for visiting my site!
For almost as long as I can remember, I’ve absolutely loved books. I enjoy reading them, I like writing about them, I think they look nice in pictures, and I aspire to write them someday. I believe many people share this love of books, and if you do, I’ve created this website for you!
If you’re interested, here are some quick facts about me:
- I am a Christian; Jesus saved me and I hope to glorify Him with my life, with everything I do and say and create. I love Psalm 19:14, “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.”
- I really like words! This is probably somewhat obvious, but I’ve loved words since…hm, since I learned the word “petrichor.” It means “the smell of the earth after rain.” I love that smell, and the word inspired in me a love of all beautiful, unusual, interesting words.
- I also really like poetry! I realize that this may be somewhat unusual, but I find all poems fascinating. There are so many amazing poems, but my favorite is probably “Pied Beauty” by Gerard Manley Hopkins, followed closely by “Sonnet 116” by Shakespeare and “Rime of the Ancient Mariner” by Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
- Additionally, I like non-book-related stuff, like coffee and dogs and kayaking and camping and hiking.
That’s me. I’d be delighted to know about you! If you’d like to contact me or request a book review, or tell me what kinds of books you like, or…anything, really, I’d be delighted to answer! Thank you so much for reading!
